Join us for a creative Thursday evening where artist Paulina Otero and Andrea Cira will be teaching you how to create your own paper collage using their staple shapes. During this class Paulina wanted to feature paper artist Andrea Cira, who creates sculptural paper artworks that resemble whimsical aspects of her Mexican heritage. Students will also be able to laser-cut materials using our collaborative shapes library. The goal is that you create two to three original paper artworks using all of the materials and tools that teachers will provide for you. Both Paulina and Andrea will give you demos where they talk about their studio practice and teach you the techniques they use to make their own work. For this workshop you will also be given a frame to choose your favorite finished collage. This workshop is beginners level and no experience is needed, all ages are welcome.

This workshop will be taking place in Paulina’s studio on Thursday September 19 from 6 to 9PM. The studio is located at 1323 Union Ave in the West Bottoms. Drinks and refreshments will be provided as well as discounts to shop in person.
