Join us for a guest artist workshop with Riley Rouse at Paulina Otero Studios onThursday, March 26th from 6-8:30pm.

During this hands-on session, you will design and create your own Ribbon Necklace using a combination of knot-tying, beading, and assembly techniques. We will explore layering texture, color, and form while learning foundational jewelry skills that can be used beyond the workshop.

A curated selection of materials will be provided, including a variety of ribbon, natural stones, ceramic and glass beads, gold and silver findings, and an assortment of unique charms. You’ll have the freedom to experiment and create a piece that feels expressive, personal, and entirely one of a kind.

Whether your style leans bold and sculptural or delicate and minimal, this workshop offers space to play, connect, and leave with a finished necklace that reflects your individual aesthetic. All materials are included!

About the Artist

Riley is a sculptor and multimedia artist based in Kansas City, MO. Her work explores the emotional connections we form with everyday objects, using ceramics, satire, and shifts in scale to question how value and meaning are assigned. Blending playfulness with psychological depth, her pieces reflect a wide spectrum of human experience — from intimacy and desire to frustration and grief.
