Mobile workshop (postponed) feauring Jason Pollen 09/21
We are hosting our second mobile workshop, but this time Paulina has invited her mentor and mixed-media artist Jason Pollen. This workshop will take place at Paulina’s studio located at 1323 Union ave on Saturday September 21st from 12 to 3PM. During this workshop Paulina and Jason will be sharing their experiences with making mobiles and teaching you how to create your own. They will both be providing their staple shapes so that all students get creative and make unique artworks. We will be providing all the materials needed and we will be able to do laser-cut demos on site. You will have so many acrylics and shapes to choose from, possibilities are endless! These mobiles will bring colorful reflections to any space. We can't wait to have you! Drinks and discounts to shop will be provided the day of. Limited spaces available. This collaborative workshop is a great opportunity to get to learn from two artists working with different mediums. All ages are welcome and no experience is needed to take the class.
About Jason Pollen: Jason Pollen is an internationally acclaimed artist, designer and educator. He has been on the faculty at the Royal College of Art in London, Parsons and Pratt in New York City and Professor and Fiber Chair at the Kansas City Art Institute. He is Professor emeritus at KCAI, President emeritus of the Surface Design Association and is an American Craft Council Fellow. His work is in numerous prominent private national and international collections, including the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art and the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art.
